MyKompos@Pantai Dalit: Strengthening Community-Based Sustainable Waste Management

The Faculty of Engineering (FKJ), Universiti Malaysia Sabah, through the Living Lab UMS @ Pantai Dalit initiative, successfully conducted the MyKompos@Pantai Dalit Program on 18 October 2025 in Kampung Berungis, Tuaran. The programme was officiated by Yang Berbahagia Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Rahman Dahlan, Chairman of the UMS Board of Directors, represented by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Abu Zahrim Yaser, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Head of MyKompos Lab.
Community Composting for Water Protection

On 24 August 2025, the Kembara Ilmu KESSA 2025: Air Kitani, Tanggungjawab Bersama Bah! program was held in Beaufort, Sabah. The event, organized by the Water Resources and Hydrology Management Division (BPSAH), Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), gathered students and local communities to learn about sustainable water and environmental practices.

1 Fakulti 1 Komuniti: Empowering Sustainability in Kundasang

The Program 1 Fakulti 1 Komuniti, held on 14 June 2025 at Taman Budaya dan Inovasi Kundasang (TABIK), Sabah, was a significant step forward in promoting sustainability at the grassroots level. Organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in collaboration with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), the event represented another milestone in the ongoing partnership with the Kundasang community that began in 2019.
