Advanced Composting and Waste Processing

Our research group involves in The Kundasang Compost Living Lab which features two key activities: Composting Engineering and Nutrient Recovery Processes.
Composting engineering emphasizes on composting system design and compost formulation. This study aims to enhance sustainability by analyzing economic feasibility, thereby providing effective waste management solutions and promoting environmental health.
Our research also investigates nutrient recovery processes to enhance plant growth through the development of liquid fertilizers suitable for irrigation and hydroponic systems. By utilizing advanced adsorbents, we aim to optimize nutrient adsorption and delivery, improving overall crop yield and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
