Successful Implementation of the Nutri Talk 1.0 Program at SMK Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu

The Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition, Universiti Malaysia Sabah extends its highest appreciation and congratulations to Nutri-Club and Dr. Norliyana Aris for the successful implementation of the Nutri Talk 1.0 Program: Body Image, Reality vs Illusion, which was successfully held at SMK Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu on 14 April 2026.

The program successfully attracted the participation of more than 300 students—an impressive achievement that reflects the very positive response from the school. It aimed to raise students’ awareness of the importance of a healthy body image, while also providing early exposure to balanced nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.

In addition, the program served as a platform to introduce the Nutrition Programme offered by the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. This initiative indirectly helped to increase students’ interest in the field of nutrition and opened up opportunities for them to explore related career paths.

This program supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 14: Life Below Water, and SDG 15: Life on Land. Through nutrition education and healthy lifestyle awareness, the program encourages students to better understand the connection between daily food choices, responsible consumption, environmental care, and sustainable living.

The Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition warmly welcomes the implementation of more community-based and school outreach programs like this in the future, as part of its continuous effort to disseminate nutritional knowledge to society and strengthen the role of the university within the community.

Once again, heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to all parties involved in making this program a success.

PAKAI GLOVE TAPI PEGANG MACAM-MACAM? 🥧🍖💸🧤
JOM BACA TIPS UNTUK PENIAGA BAZAR.
Pernah tak nampak abang kedai pakai sarung tangan, tapi lepas tu dia ambil duit RM5 kita, kemudian sambung balik bungkus makanan? 🤔
Hati-hati ya! Sarung tangan tu sebenarnya dah tercemar dengan kuman dari duit tadi. Mengikut saranan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM), sarung tangan hanyalah "pelindung tambahan", bukannya pengganti basuh tangan.
Peniaga & Pengendali Makanan, jom amalkan 3 langkah ni:

Basuh tangan bersih-bersih sebelum pakai glove.
Tukar glove selepas pegang telefon, duit, atau sampah.
Jangan guna glove yang sama untuk potong ayam mentah DAN potong sayur ulam.

Amalan kebersihan makanan yang baik bukan sahaja melindungi kesihatan pelanggan — ia juga menyumbang kepada 🎯 SDG 3: Good Health & Well-Being (Kesihatan & Kesejahteraan) dengan mengurangkan risiko penyakit bawaan makanan di komuniti kita.
Sebagai peniaga, kita juga memainkan peranan dalam 🎯 SDG 12: Responsible Consumption & Production (Penggunaan & Pengeluaran Bertanggungjawab) — termasuk menggunakan sarung tangan dengan betul supaya tidak membazir dan mengurangkan sisa plastik yang tidak perlu.
Keselamatan pelanggan adalah amanah kita. Jom sama-sama tingkatkan kualiti kebersihan makanan kita! 🇲🇾🍲
